Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
• ESG Strategy and Advisory: Collaborate with clients to develop and implement ESG strategies that align with their overarching business objectives and stakeholder expectations. Provide strategic advice on integrating ESG principles into core business operations.
• Standards and Frameworks Guidance: Advise clients on adherence to major ESG standards and frameworks such as GRI, IFRS, SASB, and ESRS, ensuring compliance and best practice implementation.
• Risk and Opportunity Assessment: Conduct assessments to identify ESG-related risks and opportunities, including climate scenario analysis and financial impact quantification, providing actionable insights to support client decision-making and enhance sustainability performance.
• Scope 3 Emissions and Science-Based Targets: Evaluate and calculate scope 3 emissions, and assist clients in setting up science-based targets to align with global sustainability goals.
• Biodiversity Considerations: Integrate biodiversity considerations into ESG strategies, ensuring clients address and mitigate biodiversity impacts effectively.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate stakeholder engagement processes to gather insights and foster support for ESG initiatives, ensuring alignment across various internal and external parties.
• Research and Analysis: Keep abreast of the latest trends, regulations, and technologies in the ESG landscape. Provide clients with insights and recommendations to stay ahead of industry changes.
• Communication and Reporting: Assist clients in developing clear and effective ESG communications, including sustainability reports and presentations, to articulate their ESG commitments and achievements to stakeholders.
• Project Management: Manage multiple ESG projects concurrently, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality outcomes and maintaining strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, or a related field.
• 3-6 years of proven experience in ESG consulting, including developing and implementing ESG strategies.
• Comprehensive knowledge of major ESG standards and frameworks, such as GRI, IFRS, SASB, and ESRS.
• Strong analytical skills, with experience in climate scenario analysis and emissions management.
• Familiarity with Scope 3 Emissions, biodiversity issues and human rights considerations within the ESG context preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
