Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare clear, well-structured PowerPoint presentations and written materials for internal discussions, client meetings, and management updates.
  • Provide regular key client updates to relevant partners and internal teams.
  • Support partners and stakeholders with client background materials for meetings, proposals and other business development activities.
  • Conduct client and market analysis to support business initiatives.
  • Prepare regular market recap updates for China and Hong Kong, including key trends, developments and themes.
  • Identify and summarise potential business and outbound opportunities based on market, client and policy developments.
  • Conduct general market and competitor research and prepare concise briefing notes and reports.
  • Monitor and summarise relevant macroeconomic and policy updates affecting our focus markets.
  • Support thought leadership activities, including drafting and refining short articles, commentaries or summaries for publication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics (or related discipline).
  • Preferably with experience as an equity research analyst or banking analyst (e.g., at an equity firm, bank, securities house, or similar).
  • Experience with Chinese funds or as an analyst covering Chinese markets is highly preferred.
  • Strong focus on identifying and articulating commercial and market opportunities from data, news flow, and policy developments.
  • Strong analytical and research capabilities, with the ability to handle both qualitative and quantitative information.
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills and the ability to structure, visualize, and present complex information clearly for senior stakeholders.
  • Strong Chinese and English language capability.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
