Job Description

You will work as part of a team, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

 

Operation Transformation:

 

  • Participate in the active growth of our Management Consulting team with focus on Financial Services Industry (Banking, Asset Management, Trustees, Family Offices, Capital Markets, Insurance etc.). The extent of practice development activities will be dependent upon level of experience.
  • Work closely with clients to transform and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their operations including:

 

  1. Front-to-back office process re-design including automation;
  2. Support clients’ change initiatives;
  3. Assess operating models for opportunities for partnerships, shared services and strategic sourcing

 

  • For asset managers and related clients (e.g. family offices, trustees), design investment related frameworks including investment policy & procedure, governance framework, asset allocation, screening and selection, investment monitoring and controls etc.

 

Finance Transformation and Regulatory Strategy:

 

  • Work with our Financial Institution clients to transform their Finance functions through:

 

  1. Assessing existing Finance processes, frameworks and pain points; redesigning the Finance target-state operating model
  2. Uplifting the Finance function through automation and efficiency assessments

 

  • Work with our Banking clients to assess and uplift their Regulatory functions through:

 

  1. Decoding and implementing new, complex regulatory requirements
  2. Reviewing the compliance of existing regulatory reports and the efficacy of processes and controls
  3. Designing an effective regulatory strategy to enable global clients to manage regulatory risks across jurisdictions
  4. Assessing and enhancing regulatory data governance and data quality

 

Preferred skills

 

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field with ideally 2-4 years working experience.
  • Experience in working in Big-4 firms and/or Financial Services firms, with strong consulting mindset, candidate with audit/ assurance experience is welcomed;
  • Experience in Operational transformation (process re-engineering), compliance and regulatory reporting, Finance transformation and Project Management office in Financial Services industry would be given a priority;
  • Candidates with hands-on design or development experience with one or more of the following platforms are preferred: data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), Power Apps, and Alteryx.
  • Prior consulting and/ or project management experience would be an advantage,
  • Experience with company-wide merger integration and/or divestiture efforts;
  • Strong analytical and creative problem solving capabilities;
  • A proven ability to translate client objectives into deliverable design, and develop deliverables that address complex situations;
  • Group facilitation and presentation skills;
  • Self-motivated, well-organised and can-do attitude; and
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin/Cantonese is essential.
