We are looking for an experienced corporate and commercial lawyer to join our highly-regarded in-house legal team at PwC China. The candidate will be based in Beijing or Shanghai. Within this role you will work on the transactions and corporate matters, including transactions within the territory of the Chinese Mainland invested by the firm, governance type Firmwide projects, corporate governance and partner affairs.  The key responsibilities include the following:

• Draft and review various types of commercial contracts;
• Standardize, localize and manage contract templates and processes;
• Provide effective and pragmatic legal advice across a multitude of topics and matters to the business team to navigate, resolve, and prevent legal risks;
• Monitor relevant major legislative developments and regulatory changes;
• Provide legal support on corporate governance and registration matters
• Participate in firm’s other projects as needed.

We are looking for a corporate lawyer based in Beijing or Shanghai to join our established legal team. The right candidate will be given an excellent opportunity to work on a good mix of legal matters.

Key Requirements:
- Qualified with China Bar for more than 5 years

- Experience with Red Circle (Law firms) or international law firms is preferred
- Solid commercial experience with particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, commercial agreements and general corporate work
- Good drafting, analytical and communication skills
- Team player, self-motivated, computer-literate
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese
