Job Description
Job responsibilities:
- Provide legal support to audit and other assurance services;
- Provide legal support to regulatory investigations and inspections
- Deal with disputes or civil claims arising from professional services;
- Advise on firm governance issues, handle regulatory filings and compliance matters;
- Review and revise a wide range of commercial agreements in Chinese and English, including service agreements, software license agreements, procurement agreements etc.
- Identify legal risks in relation to commercial and contractual matters, and advise on mitigation measures.
- Provide legal support for contract-dispute resolution and coordinate with both external counsel and internal stakeholders to achieve pragmatic, cost-effective solutions.
Requirements:
- 4-6 years of professional experience with major law firms or legal departments of MNCs in the areas of dispute resolution, regulatory matters and compliance, contract review and negotiation, and general corporate matters;
- An LLB and/or LLM degree from a top China law school and also an LL.M or equivalent from a reputable foreign law school are required;
- Excellent legal professional skills including but not limited to analytical skills , communication skills , independent and efficient problem-solving skills ;
- Strong sense of team work and quick transition into an in-house role in a multicultural environment;
- China Bar is required. A foreign bar admission will be highly valued.
- Good command of oral and written English
- Based in Shanghai
